The Path of the Sun forms the intermediate level course of the College. This twelve month course follows the Celtic Wheel of the Year with the Sun moving through the zodiac signs during the year. Other magical traditions, such as Kabbalah will also be introduced.
It looks at the inner magical meaning of the seasons and changes of the solar tides at the solstices and equinoxes and their strong links with your conscious wishes and sense of who you truly are, and who you truly can be. The course can be started at these points in December, March, June and September each year. It is ideal for those looking to incorporate magical practice into their astrological life and vice versa and have completed the Path of Moon and Earth, although it is possible to join without having done so. Students will ideally be familiar with their birth chart and/or the astrological basics of chart interpretation, or be open to expanding their knowledge of these areas.
The Path of the Sun will deepen your understanding of the astrological elements and cardinal, fixed and mutable modes, the magical directions of East, South, West and North, and the fire festivals of the Wheel of the Year by guiding you through a whole solar year.
Additionally, the potential of the Moon’s nodal cycle and eclipses, and their importance in exploring the symbolic relationship between the Sun, Moon and Earth and the conscious and subconscious parts of ourselves is integrated with your exisiting knowledge in a new and vivid manner that can transform your astrological and magical practice.
The course lasts for one year and consists of monthly online seminars when the Sun enters a new zodiac sign, and experiential sessions at the fire festivals, solstices and equinoxes. It is ideal for those coming from a pagan or magical background. There is also the option to attend weekend retreats for more in-depth and personal work for an additional fee.
